HEAR HARD is the title of The Tour by The Five Tea Chests.

Throughout The Tour the contents of The Five Tea Chests will gradually diminish.

The contents are1,000 copies of The Vinyl Record.

The Vinyl Record contains the soundtrack to The Film VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE.

The Tour HEAR HARD will continue until there are no more copies of The Vinyl Record held within The Five Tea Chests.

HEAR HARD is also the title of a 90-minute performance.

Each performance will be attended by The Congregation.

The Congregation will be made up of no more than 40 people...

Each performance will cost ten quid per ticket.

Each performance will have no guest list.

Each performance will include the following Three Acts.

Act One will be performed by Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond.
Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will stamp The Congregation’s wrists while entering the venue.
Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will position The Painting on The Easel on stage.
Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will introduce The Five Tea Chests to The Congregation.
Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will induct The Congregation into the ways of The Galloverse.

Act Two will be performed by The Congregation.
The Congregation will sit still in total silence for 43 minutes while hearing as hard as possible to both sides of the The Vinyl Record.

Act Three will be a joint performance.
The Congregation will interrogate Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond.
Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will interrogate The Congregation.
Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will market copies* of the diminishing contents of The Five Tea Chests to The Congregation.
Then...
Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will pack The Five Tea Chests, The Painting and The Easel into the White Ford Transit Van.

*Fifteen Quid a Copy, Card or Cash.

Murray Collier will be at the controls of the La Chunky Sound System at all performances.

Without this emergence into The Context, members of The Congregation may feel their time and money has been wasted in attending a performance of HEAR HARD.

THE TERMS

The Vinyl Record vouches never to be used for media promotion.

The Vinyl Record will never allow itself to be sold in shops or via The Internet.

The Vinyl Record will never appear via streaming services or as downloads.

The Congregation vouches never to betray the wishes of The Vinyl Record.

The Film currently adopts the name VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE although it has been previously named THE POPPIES IN THE FIELD and BILLIE & KEZZ. The Film may choose other names before it is screened in the Picture House in Newton Stewart.

The Tour HEAR HARD consists of several Chapters.

Each Chapter will include several performances in different venues across The Atlantic Archipelago.

Chapter One will be in Glasgow between Friday the 14th to Sunday the 16th of June 2024.

Chapter Two will be in Edinburgh between Friday the 21st to Sunday 23rd of June 2024.

Future Chapters will be announced in the coming future...
