FOOT NOTE – FORE WORD

Fellow Workers,

FOOT NOTE is a patchwork quilt made up of the 365 days of the year 2026.

The content of each of these 365 days is made from found bits and lost scraps that have been loitering around the Penkiln Burn Workshop, while we attempt to clear the place out in readiness for an uncertain future.

But...

It has also been inferred by some that FOOT NOTE is a footnote to a pamphlet written by a character who chooses to be known as VAPE SHOP. As in a footnote too extensive to actually appear on the physical pamphlet that has the name YEAR ZERO.

The former Bill Drummond has also proclaimed that the content of FOOT NOTE, will become the content for 52 weekly editions of a physical newspaper with the title of FOOT NOTE. This may be another of the former Bill Drummond’s vanity projects, that will undoubtably fall by the wayside.

Anyway...

Those observing this patchwork quilt made up of 365 days, might have a clearer idea as to what it is. If you are one of those observers and you have a clearer idea, please email it to me so that we can ‘share’ your ‘clearer idea’ with others that have a passing interest in knowing. And maybe we should also share it with the former Bill Drummond to help him understand what motivates him to do whatever he does instead of doing the things he should be doing.

All patchwork quilts have undersides. As yet we do not know what this underside might be or when it might be revealed.
