Forty Daisies trading their Life 4 Death

Saturday the 3rd of May 2025

Dear Workers,

We, on the shop floor would like to invite you to trade an hour of your manual labour for a stone lifted by a Bill Drummond, from the flowing waters of The Penkiln Burn...

If you are interested in this transaction, please be on the Queen Mary’s Bridge over The Penkiln Burn at 11am on Sunday the 11th of May 2025.

What your manual labour will be used for is...

The lifting of The 25 Paintings, from the back of a White Ford Transit Van.

And then...

Carrying of The 25 Paintings for 100 yards up the bank of The Penkiln Burn.

And then...

Helping to lift each of The 25 Paintings over the rocks onto The Island.

On The Island The 25 Paintings will be positioned and filmed and photographed by a Tracey Moberly.

And then...

Helping to lift The 25 Paintings back off The Island.

And then...

Carrying The 25 Paintings 100 yards back along the bank of The Penkiln Burn.

And then...

Sliding each of The 25 Paintings back into the back of the White Ford Transit Van.

And then...

A Bill Drummond will hand to you a stone he has lifted from The Penkiln Burn.

But...

Please contact me, your Shop Steward, via brush@penkilnburn.com before Friday the 10th of May 2025.

This is so I can instruct a Bill Drummond as to how many stones he must lift from the flowing waters of The Penkiln Burn, thus he is able to complete the transaction with you.

Yours from the shop floor,

Brush (Your Shop Steward)
